馃毎 There's some awesome progress happening at the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvement project in Siler City, NC!

This $62M upgrade is a collaboration from numerous municipalities 鈥� Siler City, Sanford, and TriRiver Water. Currently, our subcontractor, Baxter-Johnson has been crushing the near-complete excavation for the new Bio-Denipho and Post Anoxic/Reaeration Basin. With the anticipated completion in 2027, this notable project will expand the current treatment plant to support the community's continued growth and ensure a future of clean water for all residents.

必威betway中文版 Construction is the General Contractor for this notable project, designed by McGill Associates, PA, which will expand the current plant to support the community鈥檚 growth and provide needed improvements to the treatment system to benefit the health of local residents. Key highlights include:

  • Improvements to the Town鈥檚 wastewater treatment plant headworks, influent pump station, biological treatment process, filtration, disinfection, sludge dewatering, electrical distribution systems, controls and telemetry.
  • Expanding the plant capacity from 4 MGD to 6 MGD to support planned development in the area, including the new Wolfspeed manufacturing facility.
  • Reducing the amount of ammonia in the plant effluent to improve the environment and quality of life of local residents.

With construction underway, 必威betway中文版 looks forward to the work ahead. 鈥淲e鈥檙e ready to get to work!鈥� exclaimed Senior Project Manager Matt Donovan. 鈥淥ur crews have started preparing the site for the initial bypasses and reroutes to clear the way for the major operations that will be the backbone of the upgrade. It will be an exciting 30 months, with work anticipated to be complete in 2027.鈥�
